FlipGift Review 2026 — Scored by Our Own Safety Index
Our own platform, scored by the same methodology. The swap and escrow models remove the step every cash-buyout site depends on: surrendering your code and hoping to get paid.
Safety scorecard
How FlipGift works
FlipGift runs two products, and neither of them buys your card for cash.
Swap: you list a card, the matching engine finds another user whose card you want (1-for-1, several small cards for one big card, or a 3-way ring). Both sides approve, both cards are re-checked for balance, and only then are the codes revealed to each side simultaneously — followed by a 48-hour dispute window.
Escrow Market: you never type a code at all. A seller with store credit buys the goods in the buyer's cart; the buyer's money sits in escrow and is released only after they confirm the order arrived. The structural risk of a drained code is removed because no code changes hands.

Frequently asked questions
Is FlipGift legit?
FlipGift is a gift card swap and escrow platform. Unlike cash-buyout sites, it never asks you to surrender a code before you receive value: swaps reveal codes simultaneously after a balance re-check, and escrow deals never involve card codes at all. This page applies the same scoring methodology we use for every other platform in the index — see the criteria table above.
Why is FlipGift listed in its own rating?
Transparency. We built the Safety Index methodology, so we score ourselves with it publicly. The "this is our platform" badge is shown so you can weigh that context.
How does FlipGift make money if swapping is free?
Swapping is free. The escrow market charges a small fee that is displayed on each deal before you commit.
