No. FlipGift is 100% free — no commissions on swaps, no subscription tiers, no hidden charges. Every feature is available to every user.
After your card is verified (1-4 hours), it enters the matching pool. Match time depends on demand — popular brands match within hours, niche brands may take a few days.
Each brand has a value coefficient based on real supply and demand. Your card's real value = face value × coefficient. The coefficient updates every 5 minutes based on what's happening in the pool right now — brands people want a lot rise, brands with oversupply fall.
When two cards don't match perfectly in value (3-15% difference), both users get a proposal to review. You can accept or decline. Hard matches (under 3% difference) happen automatically.
The longer your card waits, the wider the matching engine's accepted difference gets (up to ±15% after 14 days). After 48 hours you also unlock 'See alternatives' on your dashboard — the system shows you the 5 closest candidates in the pool, and you can propose a swap at a larger value gap if you're fine with it.
To protect users from first-time scammers, new accounts have a face-value cap on their very first swap. As soon as you complete it successfully, you're upgraded to the full $500 range automatically. If your card is larger, start with a smaller one to unlock the limit, or split the face value across two listings.
Check the card as soon as you receive it. If the balance is zero or the code doesn't work, click 'Report bad card' on your dashboard within the dispute window. An admin will review both sides, re-check both cards manually, and decide. Confirmed scammers are permanently banned. For details, see our Risks page.
No. Once both sides have the codes, the exchange is final. If something goes wrong, use the dispute system — we can't reverse the trade but we can ban the scammer and, in confirmed cases, send you a goodwill gift card from our prize pool.
Yes. Card data is encrypted with AES-256 before storage. Every card is manually verified before entering the swap pool, and rechecked before the final exchange. Codes are never sent via email — only visible inside your authenticated dashboard. We also run automated fraud detection to block duplicate accounts and bad actors.
Share your link. When a friend signs up through it and completes their first swap, it counts toward your total. Every 5 completed referrals unlocks a free gift card from our dedicated referral prize pool. No cash rewards — real gift cards delivered directly to your dashboard.
Every Sunday at 18:00 UTC, we randomly pick a winner from all users who have at least one completed swap. The prize is a real gift card from our pool, delivered instantly to the winner's dashboard. No entry fee, no signup — just complete a swap and you're in.
Yes, you can cancel any request that hasn't been matched yet. Once a match is in progress, it cannot be cancelled.
