FlipGift for Claude: the live gift card market in your chat
Updated October 18, 2026 · Reviewed by Kirill Novikov, FlipGift founder
The FlipGift connector lets Claude read FlipGift's live market while you talk to it. Ask what an order from a US store would cost through FlipGift, what your unused gift card balance could turn into, or which stores have sellers ready right now, and Claude answers with today's numbers instead of a guess.
It is read-only and free, and it needs no FlipGift account. It cannot place orders, move money or see anyone's account. When you want to act on an answer, Claude gives you a link to the FlipGift form with the details already filled in.
What it can do
| Tool | What you get |
|---|---|
Price an order below retail (quote_order) | For a store and a checkout total: whether a seller can take the order now, the discount range, and the final price including FlipGift's fee, plus a prefilled order link |
Estimate a gift card payout (estimate_sell) | For a store and a balance: buyer orders waiting at that store, what you would net after fees, and the rates other sellers ask, plus a prefilled listing link |
Find FlipGift stores (find_stores) | Which of the 198 US stores have sellers ready or buyers waiting, with the deepest discount and largest order size |
How FlipGift works (about_flipgift) | Fees, payment methods, how escrow and disputes work, and limits such as US-only delivery |
Add it to Claude
From the Connectors Directory: in Claude, open Settings → Connectors, select Browse connectors, search for FlipGift and select Connect. There is nothing to sign in to.
As a custom connector: in Settings → Connectors, select Add custom connector, enter the name FlipGift and the URL:
https://flip.gift/mcp
Leave the advanced settings empty and select Add. A connector added on claude.ai is also available in the Claude desktop and mobile apps.
Other assistants and tools that support remote MCP servers can use the same URL.
Things to ask
- "Can I get this $349 Best Buy order cheaper through FlipGift?"
- "I have a $150 Patagonia gift card I'll never use. What could I get for it?"
- "Which stores on FlipGift have sellers ready for a $500 order?"
- "How do I pay on FlipGift, and what are the fees?"
- "Is FlipGift legit? How does the escrow work?"
What to expect
- Numbers are live and approximate. Quotes come from the open offers and orders on the market at that moment, refreshed every 30 seconds. The final price of a deal is fixed when a seller accepts it.
- US stores and US delivery only. A buyer abroad can use a US package forwarder's address.
- Acting happens on flip.gift. Publishing an order or listing a balance needs a FlipGift account, and paying is done on the site, never inside the chat.
- The card code is never shared. On FlipGift a seller keeps their gift card and places the buyer's order with it. That is the whole point of the model.
Privacy
The connector receives only what Claude sends when it calls a tool: a store name, an amount and, optionally, a product name, price and link. It never receives your conversation, your name or your Claude account. FlipGift keeps a count of which tool was called and for which store; the product details and amounts are not stored. The full statement is in the Privacy Policy.
Support
