One Amazon-specific thing to know

Once an Amazon gift card is applied to an Amazon account, the balance is locked to that account — it can’t be transferred back out or refunded to cash. That doesn't block an escrow sale: because you redeem the Amazon card yourself to fulfil a buyer's order, the balance being account-locked afterward is fine — the code never has to leave you.
