Sell your Amazon gift card for cash without handing anyone the number or PIN. You use the card to pay for a buyer's Amazon order, their money waits in escrow, and it's released to you when the order arrives — typically 72–88% of face value, against the 60–85% buy-back sites pay after taking the code.

Buyer demand right now

5 open buy requests (≈$3061 of orders) are waiting for a seller with this store’s card. 11 deals went through for this store in the last 7 days. List your balance and matching starts immediately.

Why Amazon gift cards go unused

Amazon cards pile up from rewards programs, rebates and gifting — and if you already pay with a card you earn points on, the gift balance just sits.

Selling an Amazon balance that's already redeemed

Most Amazon gift cards don't stay cards for long: the claim code gets redeemed and the money sits in your Amazon balance. Amazon's terms lock it there — "once redeemed, your gift card balance cannot be transferred to other accounts", and it can't be cashed out. That's why buy-back sites only take unredeemed codes.

Filling a buyer's order doesn't need the balance to move anywhere:

  • You order on your own account. Amazon's checkout lets you add a new shipping address, so the item goes straight to the buyer. You see their city, state and ZIP before you accept, and the full address once you do.
  • Marketplace items count. Amazon's terms cover goods sold by third-party sellers on amazon.com, not only what Amazon ships itself.
  • Check the address type. Amazon can't ship some products to P.O. boxes, APO/FPO military addresses or U.S. territories.
  • What's left stays yours. A $100 balance can fill an $85 order; the rest stays in your Amazon account and, if it's $10 or more, stays listed for the next buyer.
  • Tracking, not the order number. The tracking field takes the carrier's number (UPS, USPS, Amazon's own TBA…). An Amazon order number like 112-1234567-1234567 belongs in the order screenshot, and the field refuses it.

How to sell your Amazon card the safe way

  1. List your Amazon card — brand and balance only, never the code.
  2. A buyer who wants something from Amazon — electronics, say — pays for their order into escrow.
  3. You place their order with your card and upload the confirmation and tracking.
  4. When they confirm delivery, escrow pays you.

Before you list: check your Amazon balance

Amazon lets you check the balance online, on the issuer’s balance page, and you will need the PIN from the back of the card.

  1. Open the Amazon gift card balance link (you may need to sign in).
  2. If the code isn't applied yet, use "Redeem a gift card" and enter the claim code.
  3. Your Gift Card Balance shows in your account under Payments.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to share my Amazon card number or PIN to sell it?

No. You keep the card and use it to pay for a buyer's Amazon order yourself — the number and PIN are never typed into any site or handed to anyone.

How much will I get for my Amazon gift card?

Typically 72–88% of face value: you set the discount, the buyer pays that price into escrow, and you keep it minus a 2.5% seller fee and the 2% withdrawal fee. Buy-back sites usually pay 60–85% and take the code first.

How fast do I get paid for my Amazon card?

When the buyer confirms their Amazon order arrived — or automatically about 16 days after it ships if they never respond. You can then withdraw as crypto or a digital prepaid Visa card.

Can I sell an Amazon gift card that's already redeemed to my account?

Yes. Amazon won't let a redeemed balance move to another account, so buy-back sites that need the claim code can't take it. Here nothing moves: you place a buyer's order on your own Amazon account, ship it to their address, and escrow pays you when they confirm delivery. Sellers typically net 72–88% of face value.

Can I sell my Amazon gift card instantly?

Not instantly. The buyer's money is in escrow before you order anything, and it's released to you when they confirm the item arrived. If they never respond, escrow releases it on its own about 16 days after the parcel ships, provided the carrier has scanned it. Instant-cash sites are faster because they take the code and keep 15–25% of the card's value.
