Academy Sports military discount: 10% off, but only in set windows

Academy Sports + Outdoors gives active duty, veterans, Reserves, National Guard and first responders 10% off an entire purchase, online or in store, verified through ID.me — but only in set windows, and on 30 September 2026 it is not running. In the past year it ran from 19 October to 11 November 2025 (Veterans Day) and from 26 April to 4 July 2026; it excludes YETI products, clearance and hot deals among other things. When the discount runs

Academy calls it a seasonal discount and publishes each window on its military page. The two most recent:

• 19 October – 11 November 2025, around Veterans Day;
• 26 April – 4 July 2026, from before Memorial Day to Independence Day.

Academy has not announced an autumn 2026 window as of 30 September; its page says only that the discount is not currently running.

Who qualifies, and how to use it

Active duty and veterans of the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps and Navy, plus the Reserves and National Guard, and all active first responders. Academy's page does not mention spouses or dependents.

• Online: sign in to a myAcademy account, verify with ID.me, and the 10% applies at checkout.
• In store: verify with ID.me to get a barcode, then show it at the register with your military or first responder ID.

What it does not cover

Academy's 2026 terms exclude YETI products, deer corn, clearance, hot deals, licenses, services, gift cards, sales tax, shipping and handling, exchanges, store credit and previous purchases. The autumn 2025 terms also excluded firearms and ammunition; the spring 2026 terms did not list them — read the terms of the window you shop in.

Teachers

Academy runs a separate 10% discount for teachers, administrators and school staff twice a year, verified through ID.me, online and in store; the last confirmed window was 27 July – 31 August 2025, and it is not running now.

What Academy gives everyone
