Bass Pro Shops military discount: 10% off, 5% on firearms — and it stacks

Yes — Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's share one program, Legendary Salute: verified military personnel, law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMTs and fish and wildlife agents get 10% off eligible merchandise and 5% off firearms and ammunition, in store, online and by phone. Unusually, it can be used on top of other promotions and on select sale items; boats, motors, ATVs, alcohol, gift cards, licenses and services are excluded. Without verifying anything, someone holding Bass Pro Shops credit can place your basspro.com order and you pay 8–40% less than the checkout total, with your money held in escrow until it arrives. Up to $812 of orders they can cover, at 25%–40% off. Publish your order and the match usually happens within minutes.
Buy at Bass Pro Shops for lessWho qualifies
- Military: active duty and veterans. SheerID, which runs the online check, lists the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, National Guard and Reserves.
- First responders: law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMTs, and fish and wildlife agents, on current employment.
The site's banner mentions "members and their families of the armed forces", but no Bass Pro page explains how a family member verifies, so plan on the service member being the one who checks out.
How to use it
- In store: show proof. For the military that can be a military ID — active or expired — a state ID that shows veteran status, or a DD 214; first responders show a current ID proving their employment.
- Online and by phone: create or sign in to a basspro.com or cabelas.com account and verify through SheerID; the discount then appears in the cart. Fish and wildlife agents cannot verify online yet — in store only.
The same verification works at Cabela's; the two chains publish word-for-word the same terms.
What is excluded
Alcohol; boats, trailers and outboard motors (canoes and kayaks are not excluded); ATVs, UTVs, tractors and their attachments, and services for any of them; gift cards; hunting and fishing licenses and other non-merchandise services such as Gear Guard.

Bass Pro has no discount for any of them; its program lists only the groups above, and ID.me knows of no student offer.

Without a service ID
A seller holding Bass Pro Shops credit places your order on basspro.com and ships it to your US address, and you pay 8–40% less than the whole checkout — the gear, the shipping and the tax — with no ID to show. The 10% stacks with Bass Pro's own sales; so does this, since the seller simply checks out at whatever the price is that day. Your money is released only when you confirm the box arrived.
