Boot Barn military discount: 10% off full-price styles, once per customer
Updated September 30, 2026 · Reviewed by Kirill Novikov, FlipGift founder
Yes, but it is narrower than most: Boot Barn gives military members, veterans, military spouses and dependents, and first responders 10% off full-priced styles — not sale or clearance — verified with ID.me in the cart online or with ID in store, and its terms call it a one-time discount per customer. Without verifying anything, someone holding Boot Barn credit can place your order, sale styles included, and you pay 8–40% less than the checkout total, with your money held in escrow until it arrives. Who qualifies
- Military: "an active service member, veteran, military spouse, or dependent", in Boot Barn's words.
- First responders: EMTs, paramedics, law enforcement and certain federal agents. Boot Barn's list is given as examples, so the exact line is whatever ID.me's first responder group accepts.
How to use it
Online, verify with ID.me in the cart and the 10% applies there. In a Boot Barn store the same discount is available, and the store may ask for identification at the till; Boot Barn does not say which documents it accepts.
The four limits in the small print
- Full-priced styles only. Anything marked down is out — and on 30 September 2026 the Boot Barn menu was leading with "extra 40% off select sale" and "up to 60% off boots", none of which the 10% touches.
- One time per customer. Boot Barn's page says so plainly. ID.me's own summary describes the discount as "every item, every day"; Boot Barn's terms are the narrower ones, and they are the ones the checkout applies.
- No stacking with any other offer or promotion.
- Not on gift cards, and not on purchases you already made.
| Group | Discount | Verified by | Limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Military, veterans, spouses, dependents | 10% off full-price styles | ID.me online, ID in store | Once per customer; no sale items; no stacking |
| First responders | 10% off full-price styles | ID.me online, ID in store | Same |
| Students, teachers, nurses | None | — | — |
Students, teachers and nurses
Boot Barn has no discount for any of them; ID.me, which runs Boot Barn's military and first responder offer, lists none.

What a $200 pair costs each way
Take a $200 pair of full-price boots, before tax.
- Military discount: $180, once.
- Through a seller at 15% off: $170 plus your half of the 5% deal fee, $4.25 — $174.25, on this pair and the next.
- At 25% off: $150 plus $3.75 — $153.75.
The seller's discount is set by whoever holds Boot Barn credit that day, and it applies to the whole checkout — the boots, the shipping and the tax — sale styles included. You pay into escrow, the seller orders on bootbarn.com and ships to your US address, and the money is released when you confirm the box arrived. How escrow buying works →
