Checking your balance on BJs.com

1. Open BJ's gift card balance page (linked above), or scroll to the bottom of BJs.com and choose Check Gift Card Balance under Quick Links.
2. Type the 16-digit card number.
3. Enter the 4-digit PIN from the scratch-off panel.
4. Click submit — the balance appears instantly.

The digits are the quick check

16 and 4 are the numbers to match. Something shorter is usually a membership number or a receipt reference rather than the card, and entering it will simply fail. The PIN hides under a silver panel on the back; scratch it with a coin edge rather than a key, because a lost digit means the online form can no longer help you.

In club or by phone

Member services at any BJ's location can read the card at the desk, and BJ's takes balance questions by phone. A club visit is the practical route for a card with a damaged PIN, since the register scans the card itself.

Why warehouse-club balances end up odd

A club receipt is rarely a tidy figure — fuel, produce by weight, and bulk packs do not add up to round numbers. A $100 gift card against a $128.43 trolley leaves a remainder that follows you around for months. Checking before you shop is the difference between planning the trip and finding out at the till.

If the balance does not load

Give a newly bought card a few hours to activate. Re-enter the number by hand if a pasted value is rejected, and check for a zero read as the letter O. If it still fails and the PIN is intact, ask member services to look up the card.

A club card without a club trip

Warehouse shopping suits some households and not others, and a BJ's card given to someone who does not shop there is a common, awkward gift.
