Package forwarding services, compared on what differs

A package forwarder gives you a US address, receives what you buy, and ships it on. Every one of them does that. What separates them is a short list of structural choices, and it is worth comparing those rather than headline rates, which change constantly and depend entirely on your weight and destination.

Everything below was checked against each company's own site on 1 September 2026.

The four that come up most

MyUS. The largest of the consumer forwarders. A Single Package plan carries no monthly fee — a $2.99 consolidation fee per package and 14 days of storage — while Premium runs $9.99 a month after a 30-day trial and a Business membership $10 a month. Its facility sits in a sales-tax-free zone in Florida, and MyUS puts the resulting saving at 7%. Consolidation is pitched at up to 80% off shipping.

Shipito. Ships to more than 220 countries and has been running since 2009. Free accounts get 7 days of storage; Premium members get 45, 60 or 90. Consolidation is advertised as "combine packages into one box and save up to 80% on shipping", and there is an Assisted Purchase service for stores that will not take your card.

forward2me. The one with addresses in more than one country — US, UK, Germany, Japan, Turkey and Guernsey — which matters if you buy from more than one market. Pay-per-shipment rather than membership, free consolidation, 30 days of free storage, a Personal Shopper service, and a public rating of 4.5/5 across 15,891 reviews.

Stackry. Warehouse in Nashua, New Hampshire — a state with no sales tax at all. Consolidation and repacking are the core pitch, and it offers shop-and-ship from the large US retailers including Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Macy's, Nordstrom and Sephora.

How to actually choose

  • One parcel, occasionally — take whoever charges nothing monthly. A membership only pays for itself on volume.
  • Many small orders you want in one box — the storage window is the number that matters, because it decides how long you can accumulate before paying to ship.
  • Tax matters at your order size — the warehouse's state decides your US sales tax, because that tax is set by the destination. On a $2,000 order, a tax-free state is worth more than any rate difference between two forwarders.
  • You buy outside the US too — forward2me is the only one of the four with non-US addresses.

The layer none of them touches

Read that list again and notice what all four are competing on: the cost of moving a box. Consolidation, storage windows, membership tiers, warehouse states — every lever is downstream of the purchase.

None of them changes what the goods cost. The assisted-purchase and personal-shopper services do not either: they buy at the store's price on your behalf and charge a fee for doing it, which makes the item slightly more expensive, not less.

That layer is movable, and it is the biggest one in the stack. People in the US hold store credit they will not spend; to them it is worth less than face value, and to you it is worth the goods. Buying through them — with escrow holding the money until the parcel arrives — is worth 8–40% off the store's price, settled in stablecoins so no US card or bank is involved. Ship it to your forwarder's address exactly as you would any other order.

The two services stack. A forwarder makes the parcel reach you; this makes the parcel cost less. How the cost stack works, layer by layer →

What we are not: a forwarder. We do not receive parcels, consolidate them or ship anything abroad — the delivery address has to be one you control in the US, which for most people reading this is one of the four above.

Frequently asked questions

Which package forwarding service is cheapest?

It depends on weight, destination and how many parcels you consolidate, so the honest answer is that no single one is cheapest for everybody. The structural differences that do not change day to day are membership model, storage window, and which state the warehouse sits in — that last one decides your US sales tax.

Is MyUS legit? Is Shipito? Is forward2me?

All four covered here are long-established companies with public pricing, public reviews and, in Shipito's case, operations since 2009. Complaints in this category are usually about a specific shipment — customs paperwork, a repack, a delay — rather than about whether the business is real.

Does a forwarder make my purchase cheaper?

No. Forwarders compete on the cost of moving the box: consolidation, storage and warehouse location. The goods themselves are bought at the retailer's price, and assisted-purchase services add a fee on top of that price rather than taking one off.

Do I still need a forwarder if I buy through FlipGift?

Yes, if you are outside the US. We are not a forwarder — the seller ships to a US address you control, and getting the parcel out of the country is between you and your forwarder. The two services do different jobs.
