Staples prints its rules on the gift card itself, and a few of them decide which buyer orders you can fill:
- Up to five cards per purchase. Balances can't be merged onto one card, but up to five cards can go on one order. List several together on FlipGift as one balance.
- Another card can pay the rest. staples.com accepts more than one payment method on an online purchase.
- What it won't pay for online. Instacart orders, custom Print & Marketing Services and downloadable software are excluded, and so are credit card payments, other gift cards and wireless cards.
- Refunds. A return of a gift card purchase goes back onto the gift card. On a split payment the credit card is refunded first and the Staples gift card last. Either way it goes to you as the payer, so a problem with the buyer's item is settled on the FlipGift deal.
