StubHub gift card: go for less, or sell it for cash
Updated September 23, 2026 · Reviewed by Kirill Novikov, FlipGift founder
A StubHub gift card pays on stubhub.com at checkout in the holder's account. StubHub tickets are delivered as mobile tickets — either in the StubHub app or by transfer from the venue's ticketing platform to an email — and can be forwarded to another person. The seller buys the listing you chose (event, date, section, quantity), enters or forwards the tickets to the email of your account, and uploads the order and delivery screens.
Verifying a StubHub booking made for you
Check the email you gave on the request and your StubHub account under My tickets, or the venue platform's email (Ticketmaster, AXS, SeatGeek) if the tickets are delivered that way. Accept them. Once the tickets sit in your account with the right event, date and section, confirm the deal.
Cancellation, and why the payout does not wait
StubHub sales are final and a delivered, accepted transfer cannot be recalled, so the seller is paid when you confirm; there is no long hold. If the event is cancelled StubHub refunds the purchaser — the seller — and you report it on the deal so escrow refunds you instead.
What a StubHub gift card is worth here
StubHub gift cards list here at roughly 8–15% off — on top of whatever the resale price already is. Typical bookings: resale seats for a sold-out show, a playoff game, a festival day pass. A lower real total is refunded to you automatically. The fee mechanics — 2.5% platform fee, how the discount is matched — are on the travel hub.
Booking StubHub for less
Pick the event, date, section and quantity on StubHub and post them on the booking form with the email of your StubHub account and the checkout total. A seller with the card accepts within the hour of opening it and buys within two, then transfers the tickets to your account; you pay from your FlipGift balance when they accept, accept the transfer, and the seller is paid on your confirmation.
Selling a StubHub gift card
StubHub cards do not expire. List the balance here; a buyer picks the listing, you buy it with your card and pass the tickets to their account, and you are paid on their confirmation. A paid request gives you an hour from opening it to accept and two to buy and transfer; you are paid when the buyer accepts the transfer, and recalling one ends an account here. List it →
