• On the invoice: the remaining balance is printed on the shopping invoice after each purchase — for a card that has been used before, that slip already holds the number.

A store associate can also read the card at the register.

Gift cards and gift certificates

Fossil has issued both plastic gift cards and online gift certificates, and the online lookup is where a certificate number goes too. If what you hold is an older certificate rather than a card, it is still the same form — do not go hunting for a separate page.

Watches, leather and the battery question

Fossil's core categories are watches and leather goods, and both are occasional purchases with long lives. A card is far more likely to be spent on a replacement two years later than in the month it arrives. Nothing about waiting costs value; just record the number somewhere durable.

When the check fails

Copy digital codes from the delivery email rather than retyping. Confirm you are entering the card number rather than an order reference. Give a card bought minutes ago time to activate. If the PIN panel has been scratched past reading, the phone line or a register can read the card.

Zero on a card you have not spent

One watch clears a modest card. Check the order that might have used it, then keep the purchase receipt for customer service if the card should genuinely be untouched.
