maurices Gift Card Balance — Check It in a Minute
A maurices gift card carries a number on the front and a PIN hidden under silver scratch-off on the back. With both, the balance takes about a minute on maurices.com — or a moment at any of the chain's 900-plus stores.

Checking the balance on maurices.com
- Open the gift cards page in maurices customer service (linked above).
- Follow the balance-check link.
- Enter the card number from the front of the card.
- Enter the PIN and submit.
The remaining balance appears straight away. Nothing is charged and nothing is deducted for looking.
Finding the PIN
The PIN is on the back of the card, under a silver scratch-off panel. Scratch it gently with a coin — an over-enthusiastic scrape can take the last digit with it, and a partly destroyed PIN is the single most common reason a balance check fails. If your card arrived by email instead, the PIN is printed in the message next to the card number.
By phone or in a store
The gift card line is 1-866-977-1542, and any maurices associate can scan a card at the register. With more than 900 locations, the in-store route is often the quickest one if the card is in your bag anyway.
When the balance looks wrong
Two ordinary explanations come before anything alarming. A card bought minutes ago may not have finished activating, so give it a few hours. And a card used in a store shows its post-purchase balance only after the transaction settles — the receipt from that purchase prints the remaining value and is the faster answer in the meantime.
A card with $12 left on it
Odd remainders are the normal end state of a clothing gift card: something costs $48, the card had $60, and the rest waits for a trip you may not make. maurices lets you spend a card down across several visits, so small balances are worth combining with a sale rather than writing off.
Turning the balance into cash instead
If the store is not your style — or the nearest one is a drive away — you can sell a maurices balance through FlipGift escrow rather than let it expire quietly in a drawer. The mechanism matters here: you never hand over the card number. A buyer's payment is frozen in escrow first, you place their maurices order with your own card, and the money is released to you when it is delivered. Sellers usually keep 72–88% of face value after the flat 2.5% fee that both sides split.
