Razer Gift Card Balance — Gold vs Store Card
Razer has two things people call a gift card: Razer Gold, the virtual currency, and a store gift card. Both are read behind a Razer ID, and knowing which you hold decides where you look.
Check Razer balance on official siteGold or store card?
Razer Gold is a virtual currency for buying games and in-game content. A Razer gift card loads value you can spend. They are administered together on Razer's gold subdomain, and both are read from a signed-in account rather than from an anonymous form — which is the first surprise for anybody expecting a card-number box.
Checking it
Open the balance page (linked above) and sign in with your Razer ID, then enter the gift card details. Two other routes:
- The Razer Gold wallet. Once signed in, the available balance is shown at the top of the wallet section — the quickest check if the value is already loaded.
- The PIN balance checker, which takes a 20-character voucher code for cards supplied that way.
If none of that works, Razer support can look a card up from its 14-digit PIN.
Three different numbers, and that is the confusion
A 20-character voucher code, a 14-digit PIN, and a Razer ID are all involved depending on how the value reached you. Work out which one you are holding before deciding a form is broken: entering a voucher code into a PIN field fails in a way that looks like an invalid card.
Regional editions matter
Razer Gold operates market by market, and value bought in one region is not automatically spendable in another. If the card came from abroad, establish its market before planning a purchase around it.
Zero on a card you have not spent
Loaded Gold is spent automatically against purchases on the account, so it draws down without a separate decision each time. Check the account's transaction history before assuming an error — and check you are signed into the right Razer ID, since a second account is the usual explanation.
If the games are not yours
Gaming currency is the definition of a specific gift, and an account you do not use is value that will sit. On FlipGift you can sell a Razer balance through escrow rather than redeeming it into an account you will never spend from: a buyer's payment is held in escrow, you place their Razer order yourself, and escrow releases your cash on confirmed delivery. A flat 2.5% fee is split between both sides, and sellers typically keep 72–88% of face value. Worth doing before the value is loaded onto a Razer ID, while it is still a card.
