The two numbers, and where they hide

A physical Tory Burch card carries a 16-digit number on the back and a 4-digit PIN beneath a scratch-off panel. Both go into the Check Gift Card Balance section on the gift cards page (linked above), and the balance — with transaction history where it exists — appears immediately.

Scratch the panel with a coin rather than a key. A PIN missing one digit cannot be reconstructed from the card, and it turns a ten-second check into a phone call.

Customer service is 1-877-888-0888, Monday to Friday 8am–10pm ET and weekends 9am–8pm ET. Published hours are rarer than they should be on gift card lines, and they are worth noting before you plan a call for a Sunday evening. Any authorised Tory Burch retail location can also read the card at the register.

If the form returns an error

The usual causes, in order: a stray space pasted with the number, a digit lost to the scratch panel, an order reference entered instead of the card number, and a card bought minutes ago that has not finished activating. Only after those is an empty card the likely explanation.

Designer price points change the arithmetic

A card that covers most of a purchase here is doing well — these are $200-and-up categories, and a $100 card is a contribution rather than a payment. Zero on a card you have not spent
