Starbucks: order for less with someone else's gift card
Updated September 29, 2026 · Reviewed by Kirill Novikov, FlipGift founder
Get your Starbucks order, delivered or ready for pickup under your name, for less than the app charges: a seller who holds a Starbucks gift card places it for you with the card, and escrow pays them only once you have the food. Starbucks cards trade at roughly 10–15% off.
How Starbucks orders work here
The seller loads the gift card into the Starbucks app and orders ahead for pickup under your name — or uses Starbucks Delivers, which is DoorDash inside the Starbucks app, paid with the Starbucks balance. Starbucks cards are the most common unused gift card in the US, which is why sellers list them at good rates.
Order-ahead is immediate by design (the drink is made when the order lands); delivery can be scheduled where Starbucks Delivers offers it.
Who the courier calls
Delivery couriers reach the account holder — the seller — so use the drop-off note. Order-ahead pickup is by the name on the cup; there is no courier and nothing to coordinate.
What you pay
Typical Starbucks orders: a morning latte and a pastry, a round of drinks for the team. You pay the app's total minus the discount you pick, plus a 2.5% fee, from your FlipGift balance. The food hub has the whole flow, step by step, and how tips, fees and substitutions are settled.
Order from Starbucks → Upload a screenshot of your cart; a seller is matched in minutes.
Holding a Starbucks gift card? List it on the food sell form and get paid once the buyer has their food.
