One Google Play warning before you decide

A redeemed Google Play balance is locked to that Google account and country — it can’t be transferred, refunded, or used outside Play purchases. Sell the unredeemed code's value through escrow before loading it to your own account — once redeemed, the balance is locked to that account. Google Play balances also can’t buy physical goods or most Google hardware.
