How to Check Your Airbnb Gift Card Balance

Check your Airbnb gift card balance from inside your account, plus honest advice on using un-redeemed travel credit you don't need.

Check Airbnb balance on official site
You must be signed in to your store account to view this balance.

Airbnb doesn't ship a swipeable card — an Airbnb gift card is a code you redeem into your account as travel credit. Once it's applied, the balance lives in your Airbnb wallet, not on the card.

Checking an Airbnb gift card balance

  1. Open the Airbnb balance link above and sign in — the lookup only works from inside your account.
  2. If the code isn't redeemed yet, go to Account → Gift cards and enter the code and PIN.
  3. Redeemed credit shows under Payments as an available balance toward your next booking.

What you'll need

  • Your Airbnb login (the checker is gated behind sign-in).
  • The gift code and its PIN if the card hasn't been added to the account yet.

Other ways to see it

Airbnb credit and gift balances both appear in the Payments & payouts area of your profile on the app or the website. There's no in-store lookup — Airbnb is online-only.

If the balance won't appear

Make sure you're signed into the same account the code was redeemed on; credit doesn't move between accounts. A code that hasn't been redeemed yet won't show as a balance until you add it. If a redeemed amount is missing, Airbnb support can trace it.

Airbnb credit showing $0?

A zero almost always means the credit was already applied to a reservation, or the code is still un-redeemed and sitting in an email rather than on your account. Check your trip history for a booking that used it. Travel credit from gift cards doesn't expire, so a legitimately loaded balance won't vanish on its own.

What to do with an Airbnb card you won't use

Airbnb credit only spends on stays and experiences and can't be cashed out, so the cleanest options are to put it toward a future trip or to pass the un-redeemed code along to someone who travels. Keep it un-redeemed until you're sure — once it's on an account it stays there. FlipGift's escrow marketplace deals in shippable retail gift cards rather than travel credit, so it can't take an Airbnb card; if you also hold a card from one of the roughly 199 stores we cover, you can browse those on FlipGift.

Airbnb gift card balance — FAQ

Can I check an Airbnb gift card balance before redeeming?

Yes — enter the card number and PIN at airbnb.com/giftcards/redeem to see the remaining amount before you add it to an account.

Where’s the PIN on an Airbnb gift card?

Both physical and digital Airbnb cards have a longer card number and a shorter PIN — you’ll need both to check the balance or redeem.

Do Airbnb gift cards expire?

No — Airbnb gift card funds never expire, on the card or once loaded to your account.

Can I get cash for an Airbnb gift card?

No — Airbnb credit only goes toward bookings and isn’t cashable. If you won't use it, regift the code before redeeming it.

What can I do with an Airbnb card I don’t want?

Use the code toward something you want, or regift it — the balance keeps its value as long as you eventually spend it.

Can I combine multiple Airbnb gift cards?

Airbnb usually lets you apply more than one gift card to a single order at checkout. The exact limit depends on the platform (online vs. in store) — if a card isn’t accepted at the register, try splitting payment online instead.

What can I do with an Airbnb gift card I don’t want?

Use it toward a purchase you'd make anyway, regift it to someone who shops there, or check whether the brand's own app lets you combine balances — a gift card is easiest to get value from by simply spending it.
