Check your Netflix balance

Netflix doesn't have a card-number-and-PIN balance checker like a store card. The code from a Netflix gift card redeems into your account and shows as credit against your subscription.

  1. Go to netflix.com/redeem (button above) while signed in — or sign up if you're new.
  2. Scratch off and enter the gift code.
  3. The value is added to your account as Netflix credit.
  4. To view it later, open Account and look under Membership & billing for your credit balance.

What you'll need

  • A Netflix account (or a new signup) to redeem into.
  • The Netflix gift code, from the physical card's scratch panel or your eGift email.

Other ways to check

  • Account page: your remaining Netflix credit is shown in Membership & billing.
  • Billing dates: while credit lasts, Netflix draws your monthly fee from it before charging your card.
  • Netflix Help: if a code won't redeem, Netflix support can look into it.

Netflix balance shows $0?

Netflix credit isn't a re-checkable card — once redeemed, it just funds your monthly subscription until it runs out. A $0 reading usually means the credit has been fully applied to past months, or the code was redeemed on a different Netflix account than the one you're signed into. Confirm you're on the right account. Netflix credit can't be refunded or moved to another account.

What to do with Netflix credit you won't use

Because it's locked to your account and can't be transferred or cashed out, the only real option is to let it cover your subscription — or, if you're cancelling, spend it down first since it isn't refundable. FlipGift's escrow marketplace only handles shippable retail store cards (around 199), so it can't take a Netflix code. If you also hold a physical retail gift card, you can check which stores are covered.

Netflix gift card balance — FAQ

Can I check a Netflix card balance without redeeming it?

No — there’s no standalone checker. The card is worth its printed value until you redeem the code at netflix.com/redeem, after which it shows under Membership & Billing.

Does Netflix gift card credit expire?

No — once redeemed, the credit doesn’t expire and applies to your subscription until used up.

Why won’t my Netflix code redeem?

Usually a typo or a country/currency mismatch. If it still won’t work, contact Netflix support with the code.

Can I get cash for a Netflix gift card?

No — the credit only pays for Netflix and isn’t cashable. If you won't use it, regift the code before redeeming it.

What can I do with a Netflix card I don’t want?

Use the code toward something you want, or regift it — the balance keeps its value as long as you eventually spend it.

Can I get cash back for a Netflix gift card?

Most U.S. states don’t require Netflix to redeem gift cards for cash unless the remaining balance falls below a small threshold (often $5–$10). The simplest way to get full value is to spend it yourself or pass it to someone who shops there.

What can I do with a Netflix gift card I don’t want?

Use it toward a purchase you'd make anyway, regift it to someone who shops there, or check whether the brand's own app lets you combine balances — a gift card is easiest to get value from by simply spending it.
