How to Check Your Verizon Gift Card Balance
Check your Verizon Gift Card balance online or by phone, and turn Verizon credit you won't spend into cash through FlipGift escrow.
Check Verizon balance on official siteA Verizon Gift Card is a store card, not a prepaid Visa: it spends on verizon.com and at Verizon-operated stores, and it goes toward a Verizon mobile or Fios bill only while a balance is actually due. Verizon states the cards don't expire and carry no dormancy or other fees.
Checking your Verizon gift card balance
- Open the Verizon balance link above.
- Enter the gift card number.
- Enter the PIN and submit to see the current balance.
What you'll need
- The card number — printed on a physical card, or in the email if the card came from a Fios or switch promotion.
- The PIN issued with it. Verizon asks for the number and the PIN together, at balance lookup and at checkout alike.
Other ways to check
Dial #GIFT (#4438) from a Verizon mobile phone, or call 800-876-4141 from any phone. Any Verizon store associate can read the card, and the remaining balance also shows when you apply it at checkout on verizon.com.
If the balance won't load
Re-enter the number and PIN exactly as issued — for an emailed card, paste the code from the email rather than retyping it. A card issued the same day can take a few hours to activate. And a card refused at a Verizon Authorized Retailer isn't empty: those locations don't accept Verizon Gift Cards at all, only Verizon-operated stores and verizon.com do.
Verizon balance showing $0?
Check whether the card was already added to the account: once a Verizon Gift Card is attached as a payment method against a bill that was due, the balance goes to the bill and the card empties. Since Verizon cards don't expire and aren't subject to dormancy fees, a zero on a card you never used points to an activation problem rather than a lapse — keep the email or receipt and contact Verizon support.
Selling a Verizon card you won't use
Verizon credit is awkward to spend if your bill is on autopay and you aren't shopping for accessories. FlipGift sells the value in escrow while your code stays private: you set the amount, the buyer's payment is escrow-locked, you place their verizon.com order with your own card, and you collect on confirmed delivery. A flat 5% fee is split two ways, and sellers commonly net 72–88% of face value. See how escrow works →
Shopping at Verizon rather than selling? A verizon.com order placed through escrow lands 8–40% under retail — someone else's balance pays for it and the item ships to you, with no code changing hands either way. How a Verizon order works out →
