Sell your Verizon gift card for cash without handing anyone the number or PIN. You use the card to pay for a buyer's Verizon order, their money waits in escrow, and it's released to you when the order arrives — typically 72–88% of face value, against the 60–85% buy-back sites pay after taking the code.

Why Verizon gift cards go unused

Verizon cards arrive by email from Fios and switch promos, then wait, because a card can only go on the bill when a balance is actually due.

What a Verizon gift card can pay for

A Verizon card is narrower than a store card, and Verizon's FAQ spells out where it works:

  • Devices and accessories on verizon.com. The card buys Verizon mobile and home devices and accessories, prepaid plan refills and bill payments. On verizon.com it works for home and mobile product purchases, which is what a buyer's order here is.
  • Verizon-operated stores only. It isn't accepted at Verizon Authorized Retailers.
  • Number and PIN. Adding the card as a payment method asks for both, and part of the balance can be used with the rest kept for later.
  • Street addresses only. verizon.com never ships to a P.O. box, orders over $75 may need a signature from someone at the delivery address, and after three failed delivery attempts the order is returned and cancelled. Make sure the buyer can sign for it.
  • Occasional verification. Verizon sometimes pauses an order to verify account information before shipping new devices.
  • Refunds of gift card purchases go back to a gift card, which is yours as the payer, so a problem with the buyer's item is settled on the FlipGift deal. Returning a wireless device carries a $50 restocking fee, except in Hawaii.

How to sell your Verizon card the safe way

  1. List your Verizon card — brand and balance only, never the code.
  2. A buyer who wants phone accessories from Verizon pays for their order into escrow.
  3. You place their order with your card and upload the confirmation and tracking.
  4. When they confirm delivery, escrow pays you.

Before you list: check your Verizon balance

Verizon lets you check the balance online, on the issuer’s balance page, and you will need the PIN from the back of the card.

  1. Open the Verizon balance link.
  2. Enter the gift card number.
  3. Enter the PIN and submit to see the current balance.

Verizon Gift Cards buy merchandise and services at Verizon-operated stores and on verizon.com, in any amount up to $1,000. A card can be added to a Verizon bill only when a balance is due, and part of the balance can be spent with the rest kept for later.

What this means here: the card itself is never transferred on FlipGift — you keep it and pay for a buyer’s order as the cardholder.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to share my Verizon card number or PIN to sell it?

No. You keep the card and use it to pay for a buyer's Verizon order yourself — the number and PIN are never typed into any site or handed to anyone.

How much will I get for my Verizon gift card?

Typically 72–88% of face value: you set the discount, the buyer pays that price into escrow, and you keep it minus a 2.5% seller fee and the 2% withdrawal fee. Buy-back sites usually pay 60–85% and take the code first.

How fast do I get paid for my Verizon card?

When the buyer confirms their Verizon order arrived — or automatically about 16 days after it ships if they never respond. You can then withdraw as crypto or a digital prepaid Visa card.

What can a Verizon gift card be used for?

Verizon mobile or home devices and accessories, prepaid plan refills, or a mobile or home bill, at Verizon-operated stores and kiosks and on verizon.com. It isn't accepted at Verizon Authorized Retailers. You can spend part of the balance and keep the rest for later.

Can I sell a Verizon gift card?

Verizon won't take it back: gift cards aren't eligible for return or exchange except where the law requires. Here you keep the card and use it to pay for a buyer's accessory or device order on verizon.com; escrow pays you when they confirm delivery, typically 72–88% of face value.
