Wayfair Gift Card Balance — Two Ways to Check It
A Wayfair gift card can be read two ways: with the card number and PIN on the gift cards page, or as an account balance once the card has been added to your Wayfair account. The two answer slightly different questions.
Check Wayfair balance on official siteWayfair gift cards do not expire and carry no hidden fees, and they spend across the whole Wayfair family — Wayfair.com and the Wayfair app, plus AllModern, Birch Lane, Joss & Main and Perigold. One card covers all five storefronts.
Two routes to the balance
With the card in front of you. Open the Gift Cards page (linked above), choose the balance option, and enter the gift card number and PIN. This is the route for a card you have just been given, or one you have not added to an account.
From your account. Sign in at Wayfair.com, open My Account, and your current account balance is shown there. Once a gift card has been applied to an account, this is the number that matters — the card itself is spent and the value lives on the account.
That distinction explains the most common confusion: a card that reads zero on the card checker but funded an account balance is not lost, it has moved.
By phone
Wayfair customer service takes balance questions on 1-866-263-8325. Have the card number ready.
At checkout
Applying the card during checkout also reveals what it holds — the order total drops by the available value, and anything above it stays on your usual payment method. It is not the tidiest way to check, but it is accurate, and it is the one route that always works.
If the card will not read
Copy the number from the delivery email rather than retyping it, and make sure you are using the gift card number rather than the order confirmation number. A card bought minutes ago may still be activating.
Furniture money you are not going to spend
A Wayfair balance tends to be larger than an average gift card and rarely matches a purchase exactly — a $200 card against a $340 sofa leaves a decision rather than a solution. If the room is already furnished, you can sell the balance through FlipGift escrow instead: the buyer's payment is frozen first, you place their Wayfair order with your own account, the item ships straight to them, and escrow releases the cash to you once it arrives. Sellers usually keep 72–88% of face value after the flat 2.5% fee split between both sides, and the card number never leaves your hands. Going the other way, buying from Wayfair below retail is what the buyers on the other side of that market are doing.
