Ticketmaster gift card: go for less, or sell it for cash

A Ticketmaster gift card pays on ticketmaster.com and in the app at checkout — for any event, in the buyer's own account. The tickets then reach you by transfer: Ticketmaster lets the owner send tickets to another person by email, the recipient accepts them into their own Ticketmaster account, and once accepted the transfer cannot be recalled. The seller buys the seats you asked for (section, price level, quantity), transfers them to the email of your Ticketmaster account, and uploads the order and the transfer screen.

Verifying a Ticketmaster booking made for you

Open your Ticketmaster account — the email you gave on the request — and look under My Events or in your inbox for "You've got tickets". Accept the transfer. The tickets are then in your account, with the event, date, section and seats visible; that is the moment to confirm the deal.

Cancellation, and why the payout does not wait

An accepted transfer is final — Ticketmaster does not let the sender pull tickets back — so the deal pays the seller as soon as you confirm, with no long hold. A transfer you have not yet accepted can still be cancelled by the sender, which is why the deal waits for your tap and why the seller is told never to recall one. If the event itself is cancelled, Ticketmaster refunds the original purchaser; report it on the deal and escrow makes you whole.

What a Ticketmaster gift card is worth here

Ticketmaster gift cards list here at roughly 8–15% off. On a pair of $180 tickets that is $30–50 off the price you saw at checkout — and you still get the seats you chose. Typical bookings: two lower-bowl seats for a tour date, a family of four at a game, a single ticket for a comedy show. A lower real total is refunded to you automatically. The fee mechanics — 2.5% platform fee, how the discount is matched — are on the travel hub.

Booking Ticketmaster for less

Pick the event, date, section and quantity on Ticketmaster and post them on the booking form with the email of your Ticketmaster account and the checkout total. A seller with the card accepts within the hour of opening it and buys within two, then transfers the tickets to your account; you pay from your FlipGift balance when they accept, accept the transfer, and the seller is paid on your confirmation.

Selling a Ticketmaster gift card

Ticketmaster gift cards never expire, and they are one of the most searched cards in the US. List the balance here: a buyer names the event and seats, you buy them with your card and transfer them, and you are paid as soon as the buyer accepts the transfer. A paid request gives you an hour from opening it to accept and two to buy and transfer; you are paid when the buyer accepts the transfer, and recalling one ends an account here. List it →

Frequently asked questions

Can a Ticketmaster gift card be used for someone else?

The card pays in the holder's account, but Ticketmaster tickets are transferable by email — so the seller buys with their card and transfers the tickets to you. That is the whole deal.

What if the transfer never arrives?

Do not confirm. Say so in the deal chat, and if it is not sorted, report a problem — a transfer that never reached your account is refunded from escrow.

Are all events transferable?

Most are; a few venues or artists restrict transfer, and those show it on the event page. Ask in the deal chat before the seller buys if you are unsure.

How close to the event can I still use Ticketmaster here?

Up to 24 hours before it, and up to 30 days ahead. The seller accepts within an hour of opening the request and transfers the tickets within two; do not confirm until they sit in your account.
