A Vanilla card is a prepaid Visa or Mastercard, not a store card — so it works like a debit card almost anywhere that brand is accepted. The balance site wants the card number, expiry date, and the three-digit CVV from the back; there's no scratch PIN. Watch for activation and inactivity fees.

2. Enter the 16-digit card number.
3. Enter the expiration date and the CVV from the back.
4. Submit to see the available balance.

If the balance won't load

Confirm the card is activated (a new one may need activation first) and re-enter the number, expiry, and CVV exactly. A wrong CVV is a frequent blocker.

Because a Vanilla card spends like debit anywhere, a zero usually means it was drained across ordinary purchases — online or in store. Prepaid cards can also lose value to monthly inactivity fees once they've been idle past a point, so an old card may read lower than you remember.
