Not a marketplace — a comparison directory for gift card discounts and buyback rates. The tool itself is harmless; the risk is that its tables rank exactly the code-first buyout sites that fill the bottom of this index.

Code custody — Does your code stay safe until you receive value?
CardBear never touches your card or money — it is a rate-comparison site. Any transaction happens on the destination platform it points you to.
Drain liability — If the balance disappears mid-deal, are you protected?
Not a party to any transaction: it provides no protection at all. Your safety depends entirely on the platform it sends you to.
Balance verification — Is the balance checked right before the exchange?
No verification of anything — it aggregates advertised rates, which can also go stale.
Dispute process — Is there real, time-bound recourse?
Nothing to dispute here; recourse (if any) lives on the destination platform.
Payment reliability — Do payouts arrive as promised?
Does not pay out — the destination platform's speed (and reliability) is what you actually get.

How CardBear works

CardBear aggregates advertised gift card rates: which platform sells a given brand's card at the biggest discount, and which advertises the highest buyback rate. You browse the comparison, then click through to transact elsewhere.

Because no money or codes move through CardBear, most of this index's safety criteria simply do not apply — scored as zeroes above not because it fails them, but because it provides no transaction protections at all. Its Trustpilot presence is a single review (unclaimed profile, checked July 2026), so the score carries no signal.

The practical caution: a rate table optimizes for the highest advertised number, and several platforms this index grades D or F advertise very competitive rates. Use the comparison, then check the destination platform's record before submitting anything.
